In late October, students from the HSE School of Business Informatics organised the second Major League Hacking (MLH) hackathon hosted in Moscow. The participants of the event, which include students and alumni of Russian and foreign universities, developed IT solutions for Russian companies.

On October 30, 2018, a round table was held at the School of Logistics with Andrey Belinsky, General Director of SSI SCHÄFER (Russia), on the theme "Innovative Logistics Technologies: Choosing Between Mechanization and Automation of the Cargo Processing Process".

The 7^th Moscow International Forum ‘Open Innovations.’ which took place from October 15 – 17 in Skolkovo, included an exhibition on the results of research carried out by academic institutions, small enterprises and leading universities, including HSE.

The centre provides training for specialists in the field of digital marketing and e-commerce. Students of the centre will have the opportunity to participate in real business projects and complete an internship at companies that use SAP technologies.

School of Logistics of Faculty of Business and Management opens a new master’s programme “Digital Logistics and Supply Chain Management” starting academic year of 2019/2020.

For the first time ever, Forbes (Russia) has published its own ranking of the best universities in Russia. One of the main objectives of the ranking was to determine which universities produce talented young entrepreneurs, including those capable of making it onto Forbes’ main ranking in the future or becoming part of Russia’s political elite. HSE placed 10^th in the ranking.

Konstantin Noskov, who received his Master’s degree in General and Strategic Management from our faculty in 2001, will head the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media.

On April 23-27, 2018, associate professors of School of Logistics Y.A. Morozova and A.B. Vinogradov attended the CeMAT 2018 exhibition in Hannover (Germany) and completed advanced training course on logistics and supply chain management.

12^th International Student Conference on Contemporary Problems in Logistics and Supply Chain Management Development was held in School of Logistics on April 25-26^th, 2018. The conference was attended by the students of 20 universities of Russia and CIS countries.

On February 14, 2018 the Department of Information Systems and Technologies in Logistics of School of Logistics together with the research and production company "Smart Solutions" within educational programs of School of Logistics held a research seminar and a workshop of specialists of the company on "Multiagent systems and its application in logistics, transport and supply chain management: experience of real projects" in which intellectual computing MAS technologies and real industrial projects in logistics, transport and SCM have been shown.
