Business Informatics is an emerging contemporary field of research and education that focuses on business performance management with the use of the latest information and digital technologies, while also creating value for clients. Business Informatics is interdisciplinary in the sense that it integrates various areas: information technologies, mathematics, economics, management, programming, etc.
The Department works in partnership with such firms as SAP, IBM, FORS, Lanit, 1C, Huawei, etc. It also offers double degree programmes in conjunction with the University of Münster, the University of Passau, Vienna University of Technology, and the Lancaster University. Furthermore, in cooperation with the University of London, the Department currently offers the double-degree Bachelor’s programme in Management and Digital Innovation.
