HSE Graduate School of Business Hosts VI Russian Summit and Awards on Digital Transformation – CDO/CDTO Summit & Awards 2025
op digital transformation executives from major companies including Rosatom, Sber, PSB, Rostelecom, RTK-DC, Severstal-Infocom, Greenatom, and the private institution Tsifrum shared their vision and real-world digitalization cases at the summit.
Speakers and participants discussed the development of technology and ensuring Russia's technological sovereignty under the new national project “Data Economy.” They also examined the impact of government regulation on digitalization in business in 2025, import substitution in IT and industry, and the role of digital ecosystems and platform-based models in creating new markets and services.
Particular interest was drawn to the panel discussions on the implementation and development outlook of technologies such as AI, Big Data, and cloud computing, as well as the use of robotics, intelligent automation, AI, and predictive analytics to improve production efficiency.
The third session, titled “Digital Maturity: How Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Big Data, and Cloud Technologies Are Transforming Business,” was moderated by Denis Reymer, Professor of Practice at the Department of Business Informatics, HSE Graduate School of Business. The discussion covered key trends in the AI and machine learning market, the use of big data to enhance operational efficiency across industries, the role of cloud technologies as a driver of digital change in both business and government, and the impact of IT strategies on business process transformation.
A special keynote address was delivered by Sergey Bruskin, Associate Professor at the Department of Business Informatics, HSE Graduate School of Business. He presented the results of the study “Key Russian IT Trends 2025,” conducted by the Graduate School of Business between June and September 2024. The report attracted significant interest from the audience, as the identified trends offer important guidance for Russian businesses, public institutions, and non-profits in carrying out digital transformation projects in the coming years.

The expert level and depth of the forum’s presentations exceeded all expectations. The professional dialogue that took place not only provided insight into the achievements of national leaders but also outlined future prospects and priorities in implementing digital and intelligent technologies in Russia. It is encouraging that the research by the Department of Business Informatics at HSE GSB was at the heart of the discussions and received such a strong emotional response from the audience. This means our platform is gaining new momentum, and we will continue our work.
