About the Department

Department of Strategic and International Management employees experienced researchers, teachers and professionals, as well as young ambitious specialists who are keen to combine theory and practice, while also finding creative solutions for strategic and international management.

Our department employs an interdisciplinary approach and aims to effectively utilize this combination of various areas of management. It is our goal to find a reasonable balance between the best traditions of Russia-based management research and practice, and the most recent global management models and tools.

The 12th edition of the International Week on Sustainability (I-Week) took place from 24 to 28 March 2025 at the University of Antwerp – Faculty of Business and Economics, bringing together 559 students from 27 partner institutions across six continents. This year’s event was a remarkable convergence of academic expertise, industry insights, and cross-cultural collaboration, reinforcing the importance of sustainability in today’s globalized world.

The HSE Graduate School of Business opened a classroom named after Alexander Nikolaevich Dyatlov, the first dean of the HSE State University’s Faculty of Management
On August 31, the opening ceremony of the auditorium named after Alexander Nikolaevich Dyatlov, Dean of the HSE State University’s Faculty of Management in 1995-2000, took place in the first building of Shabolovka campus. Alexander Nikolayevich started his research activities in the field of economic forecasts in the late 1980s and joined the HSE State University in 1994.

On March 12, HSE University will hold a university-wide Open Day for prospective students of bachelor’s and specialist programmes. The event will be held in the Pokrovka Building and will feature presentations by faculties and campuses, a talk by the Admissions Office, activities from student organisations, a tour of the university’s historical buildings and much more. Those interested in attending must register in advance.
