Centre for Asian Business and Management Research

About the Centre

The Center for Business and Management Research in Asia was established within the Graduate School of Business in 2025. The Center focuses on studying management, economic, and cultural factors influencing the activities of companies in Asian countries, interacts with the business community on management topics in the Asian region, and supports Russian companies in building and developing sustainable cooperation with companies from Asian countries.

The establishment of the Center aligns with the main political and economic trends in the development of the Russian Federation. Since 2022, Asian countries have become Russia's main trade and economic partners. In the Spatial Development Strategy of the Russian Federation until 2030, industrial cooperation with the countries of the Asia-Pacific region becomes an important area of work. Most representatives of Russian business lack a systematic understanding of the business environment, specifics of cross-cultural communication, and management practices in Asia, which creates an acute need for specialized expertise. The Center is conceptually positioned as a leading Russian expert-consulting, research, and educational interdisciplinary platform in the field of business management and operations in Asian countries.
