During the 8th International Convention “Eduniversal”, held in Boston, USA from 12 to 15 October 2015, the HSE Faculty of Business and Management received prestigious international award “3 Palms of Excellence”. The award was presented on the campus of the world famous Harvard University, located in the suburbs of Boston.

For the first time ever, a doctoral student of the Higher School of Economics took part in the Heidelberg Laureate Forum, the world’s largest forum for young researchers in the fields of mathematics and computer science. Over the course of one week, the participants were able to meet and discuss their projects with laureates of awards such as the Fields Medal, Abel Prize, and Turing Award. Olga Tsukanova represented HSE at the Forum, bringing with her a project on mathematical modelling.
This year the Higher School of Economics continued its unique international summer school project 'Management in Emerging Markets: Trends and Strategies.' For two weeks students from Russian and foreign graduate schools were immersed in a special environment which was conducive to acquiring valuable knowledge about modern trends in business development in Russia; finding new, viable solutions to a two-week case study; exchanging opinions and informal discussions with peers and business representatives.
The Higher School of Economics has gone into partnership with Russian Venture Company, a government fund that supports innovation in Russia, to develop and promote TechUp2015 — a national rating for fast-developing tech companies.

IBM held its annual forum, the Best Student Recognition Event, in Amsterdam on July 8-10, 2015. The IBM Corporation has been carrying out the event since 2008, bringing together some of the best students in Europe. Around 70 students attended this year’s event, including HSE student Dmitry Shostko, who studies Business Informatics in the Big Data Systems Master’s Programme. Dmitry was rated one of the top-10 students for the second semester.
A total of 25 graduates of HSE’s Master’s Programme in Business Informatics have also received an academic diploma from the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA).
Dmitry Aldunin - the bachelor of the School of Business Informatics, the alumni of master’s program “E-business”, the participant of IBM EMEA Best Student Recognition Event 2013, now works in Microsoft.
On July 8, 2015, a graduation ceremony for the first graduates of the double degree master’s programme implemented by the School of Logistics together with bbw University of Applied Sciences, Berlin, Germany, took place at HSE.
