Rotterdam University Business School Delegation Visits FBM

On December 2-3, 2019, Alexander von Schmidt, Erwin Blezer, and Boudewijn de Graaf of Rotterdam University Business School (Netherlands) visited the School of Business Informatics of the Faculty of Business & Management.

The purpose of the visit was to present international project opportunities open to Business Informatics Bachelor Programme students and students of Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences Business School. During the meeting with Sergey Efremov, Academic Director of 'HSE and University of London Parallel Degree Undergraduate Programme in Management and Digital Innovation', the delegation discussed plans for international projects and cooperation in 2019-20 academic year. 

The colleagues gave a talk for Business Informatics Bachelor students which focused on specific aspects of project work and successful projects and invited students to take part in international projects together with teams from the Netherlands, Austria, and Ukraine.

Also, Professor Boudewijn de Graaf gave a talk on  ‘Risk Based Privacy Management’ for the students of Master's Programme in E-business. During the lecture, Professor Boudewijn de Graaf covered practical aspects of risk management in companies and gave a practical demonstration of risk forecasting, identification and management for companies suggested by the students. He also spoke about personal data protection issues and how personal data protection is organized in Europe in line with the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Finally, he discussed the difference between European and Russian approaches to dealing with personal data.
