A five-day Internet-Entrepreneurship School was held at the Russian Engineering Festival. During the five days of the School, the participants had to develop and realize their startup projects.

A conference and hackathon was organized by the MSU Business Incubator and QIWI group, focusing on technologies and products that change traditional business models and leave unnecessary mediators behind.

On April 22, 2016 a PhD seminar on management ‘Contemporary Management Research in Emerging Markets: New Challenges and Perspectives’ was held at HSE as part of the XVII April International Academic Conference on Economic and Social Development. Thirty doctoral students from Russia and four doctoral students from the USA, Europe and the CIS countries took part in the event.

10^th International Student Conference on Contemporary Problems and Trends in Logistics and Supply Chain Management Development was held in School of Logistics on April 27-28, 2016. The conference was attended by the bachelors, masters and postgraduate students, representatives of the School of logistics of HSE and other leading universities of Russia and Germany, as well as CIS countries. The total number of participants exceeded 200 people.

A team which includes several HSE students has won the SAP InnoJam hackaton in Moscow. The winners will now move forward to the SAP InnoJam in Europe this autumn.

On April 9, 2016 School of logistics hosted a workshop of Stanislaus Friedkin, the Director for operational planning of large international trading and manufacturing company. The event was organized by the Department of information systems and technologies in logistics with the support of the student Council of the School of logistics.

HSE took first place among Russian universities in subject rankings for Sociology and Economics & Econometrics (101-150 globally). In Business & Management Studies and Accouting & Finance, HSE ranked first and is currently the only Russian university in the ranking, placing in the 151-200 group.

On March 10, the workshop "Theory and practice of inventory management in supply chains" was held by Mikhail Heinmann, a managing partner of consulting company "First National Consulting Group".

On December, 11 and 18 a group of students from the School of logistics together with the senior teachers A. B. Vinogradov and T. V. Levina visited Europe's largest plant of the company "PepsiCo" in the SEZ "Sherrizone" (Moscow region).

Usually they choose to work in a company or to go on to study for a doctorate. But Ekaterina Kolpakova, HSE master’s graduate, decided to continue her studies and applied for an international MBA programme. She told us about her decision in an interview.
