Denis Konvisarev is studying in the master’s program “International Management” at the HSE Graduate School of Business. In his interview, he shares how studying at HSE GSB helps develop cross-cultural competencies, make friends from all over the world, and combine academic workload with a vibrant extracurricular life. He also talked about his favorite instructors, cases, internships, student club life, and why it is important to be proactive in a master’s program.

More than 1,900 first-year bachelor’s and master’s students enrolled at the HSE Graduate School of Business in 2025
The HSE Graduate School of Business has summed up the results of the 2025 admission campaign. This year, 940 students were admitted to bachelor’s programs and more than 980 to master’s programmes. Traditionally, the competition amounted to dozens of applications per state-funded place. For the first time, the competition for fee-paying places was just as high: for the bachelor’s program “International Business” – 20.1 applications per place, “Data Analysis Technologies” – 19.7; and for the joint master’s programme with Avito, “Product Management in IT Business” – 15.8.

Alexandra Pavlenko is a fourth-year Bachelor’s student in Marketing and Market Analytics at the HSE Graduate School of Business. In September, the Higher School of Economics Graduate School of Business hosted interactive master classes for more than 500 first-year students with one of Russia’s leading sustainability experts. ESG expert Svetlana Ivchenko introduced students of the flagship undergraduate programs Business Administration and Marketing and Market Analytics not only to practices and strategies of sustainable development management in major Russian metallurgical companies, but also to her personal experience of professional transformation as a top manager grounded in values. The master classes were held as part of the career guidance seminar “The Profession of a Manager in the Modern World”, organized by one of its instructors — Associate Professor Ekaterina Ivanova of the Department of Strategic and International Management, who familiarized students with the theory and practice of ethics, responsibility, and sustainability in contemporary business.
