Alfa-Bank and HSE Graduate School of Business expand partnership in business education

The Graduate School of Business at HSE University and Alfa-Bank have signed a cooperation agreement aimed at developing educational programs in the field of business informatics.

Alfa-Bank and HSE Graduate School of Business expand partnership in business education

The agreement formalizes the parties’ strategic partnership and opens up new opportunities for integrating practical skills into student learning. Alfa-Bank will become a partner of two undergraduate programs at HSE GSB — Business Informatics and Digital Product Management. The bank’s top managers and leading experts will join the Academic Councils of both programs and collaborate with HSE GSB faculty on curriculum development and enhancing the practical orientation of the education process.

A key focus of the partnership is supporting talented students. As part of the agreement, Alfa-Bank is establishing ten scholarships for students of the Digital Product Management program. Each scholarship will cover 50% of the annual tuition fee and will be available to applicants enrolling in 2025. This is a significant contribution to nurturing talented students and strengthening the human capital of the digital economy.

Other important initiatives include joint lectures, masterclasses, research projects, business events, and the development of real-life case studies based on Alfa-Bank’s experience.

“We firmly believe that quality education must go hand in hand with practical experience and up-to-date professional knowledge. Through our partnership with HSE Graduate School of Business, we offer students unique opportunities for professional growth and prepare graduates who are in high demand on the market. We are happy to welcome promising young specialists into our bank — those who can contribute significantly to the development of fintech, both within our organization and across the country.”

Head of the Business Informatics Department, Academic Supervisor of the Business Informatics Program at HSE Graduate School of Business

“Our collaboration with Alfa-Bank helps bring educational programs even closer to real-world practice. Students not only get to learn from industry professionals but also work on real business tasks, receive expert guidance, and gain professional orientation. This is especially important in fast-evolving fields like business informatics and digital product management.”

The partnership between HSE GSB and Alfa-Bank is not new. The business school has already hosted talks by Ivan Pyatkov, Director of Retail Business at Alfa-Bank, and Marat Ismagulov, HR Director. This new phase of collaboration will enable regular meetings and attract even more industry leaders and experts.

This summer, the partnership will also take on an international dimension: HSE GSB and Alfa-Bank will host a Digital Product Management Summer School for students from China. Participants will spend a week in Moscow learning from top industry professionals, building practical product management skills, and exploring the culture and history of one of the world’s largest metropolises.

The signed agreement marks a step toward deeper integration between business and education — with a shared focus on preparing professionals ready to meet the challenges of the digital economy and succeed in a real-world market environment.
