On August 31, the opening ceremony of the auditorium named after Alexander Nikolaevich Dyatlov, Dean of the HSE State University’s Faculty of Management in 1995-2000, took place in the first building of Shabolovka campus. Alexander Nikolayevich started his research activities in the field of economic forecasts in the late 1980s and joined the HSE State University in 1994.
The all-Russia competition, a project of the Russia — Land of Opportunities presidential platform, saw the students compete with other teams of young contestants. The team led by Alexander Aksyutin, a master’s student of the HSE Graduate School of Business, received a grant of 1.4 million Russian rubles, which the team plans to spend on a social project to promote tourism in Voronezh Oblast.
In the contest organized by AIM2Flourish, students from various countries tell stories about companies that promote the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals. HSE students won in the global goals of ‘Quality Education’ and ‘Partnerships for the Goals’ with cases of Kaspersky and VimpelCom PJSC (Beeline brand), respectively. They have become the first Russian representatives to earn these prestigious awards.
On May 12, the HSE Graduate School of Business hosted the CIMA Emerging Leaders Competition, an international case championship. The competition is aimed at helping students advance their skills in business process modelling and business forecasting. A team from Southern Federal University (SFU) took first place, and teams from HSE University came in second and third.
