Valery Katkalo has been elected as Chairman of the Sectoral Commission on Education of the Russian Managers Association (RMA) for the second time in a row. The commission is one of the main expert platforms in Russia for discussing modern education trends and sharing experience of implementing advanced educational models.

In summer 2020 HSE launched a contest for creating project groups, through which our university supports interesting and useful initiatives of students. Despite the fact that the Contest is being held at HSE for the first time, 36 applications were received for the creation of project groups of students from the HSE Graduate School of Business, and 28 of which were approved by the Commission on Educational Initiatives.

On December 10, the Graduate School of Business held a large-scale meetup event for GSB professors, current students, alumni, corporate representatives, and anyone interested in the development of business education. Guests of ‘GSB Meetup: Welcome to the Graduate School of Business’ learned what qualities and competencies a modern manager needs, what is new at the HSE Graduate School of Business, and what the future holds for the School.

How the pandemic has affected the global system of higher education, how the system will betransformed and what prospects there are for cooperation between Russian and European universities– these were among the issues discussed by representatives of HSE University and other universities, experts and officials at the digital Round Table ‘EU— Russia: New Models of Educational Process Organisation, Novel Education Practices and Internationalisation in the Post-COVID Reality’.

Future Tech, an interuniversity case championship organized by the Moscow City Innovation Agency, has announced its results. 32 university teams from eight Russian cities participated in the competition. The awarding ceremony took place at the Digital Business Space on Pokrovka.

The European Foundation for Management Development, a global association of leading business schools and companies, has only 18 EFMD Fellows in the world—one for each main region in which the Foundation operates. All fellows are former or present deans of the leading business schools (such as IMD, Kellogg, CEIBS, ESADE, WU Vienna, HEC Montreal, to name a few). 

The HSE Graduate School of Business Career Centre held the traditional Fall Career Week and Job Fair, which took place online for the first time. 34 companies from different business sectors (consulting, finances, IT, FMCG, retail, and telecom) participated in the event. More than 63 representatives of different companies gave talks and master classes for GSB students.

The HSE Business Incubator took 1^st place in the 2019-2020 UBI Global World Ranking of University-Linked Business Accelerators. An awards ceremony for the top ranked institutions was held at the World Incubation Summit in Doha, Qatar on November 6.

On January 23, 2018 the candidate thesis defense of lecturer of Department of logistic infrastructure management Ivan Shidlovskiy took place. The subject of work is "Improvement of Stockpile Management of Batch Freights", the research supervisor - Dr.Sci.Tech., professor Victoria Darabovna Gerami.
