3D tour of the HSE Graduate School of Business’ campus: students promote the history of Russian entrepreneurship
The Shabolovka campus is housed in buildings with a rich history — GSB occupies ones constructed in the early 19th century for a silk factory. The 3D tour allows students to show their campus to family and friends, while the business school’s programmes attract new applicants from other regions and countries.
“Business education is impossible without participation in real-life projects. On the Business Management programme, students examine a large number of case studies, but a bunch of skills — such as teamwork and leadership, for example, — can only be improved while working on a real task. I am glad that the students were able to successfully implement this project and gained valuable practical experience,” said Dmitry Knatko.
“The project with its idea to form the image of the Russian entrepreneur through historical retrospective has certainly raised an important and acute issue today. It is a great opportunity for the GSB students to "pass through" all the experience that has been collected by generations before us, to compare the entrepreneur of today and the difficulties he faces with the entrepreneurs of that era. I am sure that many buildings of the HSE University conceal not just academic knowledge and practical experience of its staff and researchers, but also stories worth being inspired by,” Alexander Aksyutin, a lecturer at the HSE Graduate School of Business, shared his impressions of the project.
"Having entered the GSB, I immediately became a part of Vyshka's entrepreneurial community. I am very glad that I chose Business Management! GSB provides a lot of opportunities for practice. The development of the 3D tour on Shabolovka became part of my own project — the 3DeQuiros company. Our project is becoming more and more popular, helping both students and the HSE Graduate School of Business as a whole,” — said Anastasia Pogosova, 2nd year student of the Business Management programme.
You can get acquainted with the materials on the historical campus of the HSE Graduate School of Business, the former factory of the largest silk weaver of the XIX century Hector Simoneau, within the framework of the 3D-tour created by the students. The model is equipped with special navigation by historical markers, which makes it possible to take a fascinating tour of the campus staying at home.
