Opening of X5 Retail Group Classroom at the Higher School of Economics and Launch of the 'Innovation in Retail' Programme

Moscow, April 17, 2021 - X5 Retail Group, the leading multi-format retailer in Russia, operating 'Pyatyorochka', 'Perekryostok' and 'Karusel' retail chains, and HSE Graduate School of Business have opened the multifunctional X5 Retail Group classroom and held the first workshop of the 'Innovation in Retail' programme.

'Innovation in Retail' programme is conducted by representatives of HSE Graduate School of Business, practitioners and innovation specialists from Х5 Retail Group, 'Pyatyorochka' and 'Perekryostok' retail chains, and leading Russian and global companies (FRII, Plug&Play and others). The programme lasts for 3 months. It includes face-to-face and online sessions, work in project teams. The training on the programme will result in the project team's creation of a concept for an innovative product or service that can be implemented on the X5 infrastructure.

The classroom will also host industry meetings with leading Russian and global companies. HSE and X5 plan to conduct joint research, publish scientific and educational materials in the field of retail and new technological solutions.
