Effie Russia and HSE Graduate School of Business launch a joint educational project

Effie Russia and HSE Graduate School of Business launch a joint educational project

As part of Effie's global programme for support of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals, Effie Russia is launching an educational block to share best practices of responsible marketing.

The first educational event is a joint project seminar of Effie Russia and HSE Graduate School of Business' Master's Programme 'Marketing: Digital Technology and Marketing Communications'.

During the project seminar students will work on cases from the project partners: MTS, Pyatyorochka, McDonald's Russia, VTB, IKEA in Russia and gain useful experience for their future career.

The aim of the project workshop is to immerse and integrate students into real business projects in order to develop analytical skills, as well as to collaborate with business representatives in the framework of social and environmental projects of the companies.

It is planned that the winning projects will place environmental issues at the centre of communication and the content of the communication campaign will be in line with the chosen sustainability goal, demonstrating durability and an effective combination of business and socially relevant goals.

The effectiveness of the projects will be evaluated in terms of social impact.

Social impact is the goal of creating positive social and environmental change by designing initiatives in such a way that they meet a real need and provide a solution that is both measurable and sustainable.

The best student projects will be presented to a wider audience at the end of May.

Representatives of Effie Russia and partner companies, students and professors from the Graduate School of Business are among the judges and organisers of the workshop.

Tatiana Vetrova, Academic Supervisor of ‘Marketing: Digital Technology and Marketing Communications’ Master’s Programme says:

Tatiana Vetrova, Academic Supervisor of ‘Marketing: Digital Technology and Marketing Communications’ Master’s Programme says:

We try to dedicate each project workshop to a theme. This year, it is about social and environmental projects. I believe that this is a unique opportunity for students to work with industry leaders and top sustainability experts, receive valuable feedback, propose their initiatives and defend their projects in front of a professional panel.

Alexander Lebedev, Professor of HSE Graduate School of Business, Member of the Effie Russia Jury adds:

Alexander Lebedev, Professor of HSE Graduate School of Business, Member of the Effie Russia Jury adds:

The 17th UN Sustainable Development Goal is "Partnership for Sustainable Development" and we have been able to combine the capabilities of industry business leaders, the expertise of Effie, as an international award for marketing efficiency, the energy and creativity of students, and the mentoring potential of the HSE Graduate School of Business in full compliance with the global agenda. In this project, we are proving the benefits of building a comprehensive network of partnerships and creating marketing with purpose not by words but by deeds.

The main objective of Effie and the partners remains the same - to help companies and people in Russia move towards greater value, sustainability and responsible marketing through education, inspiration and learning from best practices.
