Students Project 'HSE Business Negotiation Club' Organized by GSB Students Presented Their First Results

GSB Committee for Support of Educational Initiatives supported ‘Business Negotiations Club’ – a project initiated by GSB students on Student Groups Projects Competition in 2020. At the beginning of 2021, GSB students reviewed the outcomes of the project.

The goal of the HSE Business Negotiation Club was to provide students with an opportunity to get acquainted with various aspects of effective negotiations and develop soft skills: professional argumentation, self-presentation, etc.

The project team included 2nd-year students of 'Marketing: Digital Technology and Marketing Communications' programme: Teslenko Nikita (project head), Veronika Ozhogina, Suzanna Aguzumtsyan. The project’s ideological insrpiration was Tatyana Vetrova, candidate of economic sciences, associate professor, academic supervisor of the programme 'Marketing: Digital Technology and Marketing Communications'.

HSE Graduate School of Business supported the project financially and provided the project with advice.

Business Negotiations Club organized offline and online meetings with GSB students, HSE students of other faculties, and students of other universities. Students not only acquired theoretical knowledge about business negotiations but they could also apply this knowledge during practical classes of the team. Online meetings took place in Zoom, and they were broadcasted from the GSB studio with the help of Centre for Digital Educational Technologies.

Stanislav Martynov (business coach, founder and head of BROCA&WERNICKE Company) became a regular host of Business Negotiations Club. Invited guests also participated in the meetings: Olga Muratova (business coach, head of education department at AstraZeneca), Dmitry Belkin (business partner of Business Intelligence directorate at Alfa Bank), Evgeniya Kheynman (head of the internal communications and employer brand development at Accenture in Russia and Kazakhstan).

The most active participants of the club received certificates and prizes designed by an eco-partner – Ecolevel company. Valeria Gladkova, 2nd year student of the programme ‘Economics and Statistics’ got the grand prize from the Club and GSB Career Centre – internship at Puma.
