Start of a new Master’s Programme – Master in International Management
Another brand-new Master’s Programme - Master in International Management has been launched at HSE Graduate School of Business this year.
The programme’s main objective is to prepare professional managers for international companies, and one of its unique features is that all students of the programme will have an opportunity to study abroad for a semester at a leading international business school. The students will get practical experience of intercultural communication, develop and strengthen their cross-cultural competences, and will gain new educational experience.
The programme is fully taught in English and is full-time. Classes are held during day-time for the students to have time to apply gained knowledge in practice and get experience of practical engagement with business without interrupting their studies. During the two years of the programme, the students will participate in two consulting projects for international partner companies, will implement various projects both for Graduate School of Business and HSE; they will have internships in leading Russian and international companies.
The curriculum is built around three cross-cutting topics: global strategies and operations, digital transformation and new business models, corporate social responsibility and sustainable development.
The best Russian and foreign professors, business leaders, experts and representatives of the School’s corporate partners are teaching on the Master in International Management programme. Real cases and project work are both used in the teaching with the focus on current needs of business and successful future of our graduates.
The programme closely cooperates with business with the help of the ecosystem created at HSE Graduate School of Business. Leading Russian banks (Sberbank, VTB Bank), FMCG companies (L’Oreal, Novartis, P&G), global consulting companies (Accenture, BCG, PwC, AT Kearney), world-famous IT companies (Oracle, IBM, Microsoft, SAP, Lanit) and others provide the students with opportunities to participate in consulting projects, internships and help them with their course works and theses. The representatives of partner companies participate in teaching on the programme bringing practical cases to the classroom, giving master classes, and taking part in discussions of relevant topics. The top managers of the partner companies are members of the Academic Council of the programme. This allows us to get quick feedback from the market about what and how we do.
The academic year started with a lecture by Mikhail Magrilov, PwC partner and a member of the Academic Council of the programme. Mikhail talked about how technologies influence people’s behavior and society in general, new business models that emerge and what to do right now not to be late for the future.
