HSE University Enters Top-35 of QS '50 Under 50' World University Rankings
HSE University took 31st place in the QS Top 50 Under 50 Ranking, climbing seven places, even in the face of the growing competition in the higher tier of this ranking.
HSE University enters the Top-35 for the first time and remains the only Russian university in the Top-50 of this ranking.
'The rankings are not based solely on bibliometric indicators,’ commented HSE Rector Yaroslav Kuzminov, noting: ‘We must not forget that the place on a ranking reflects deep transformation within universities. Advancement in these rankings reflects the general development trend of the university, and the changes in its structure'
More than 45 international laboratories have already been created at HSE University with the involvement of international scholars. Furthermore, the number of international students is growing, while more high-level international conferences are being held. All of this strengthens HSE University's reputation on the global stage and this result is visible in the rankings
The ranking evaluates the best universities in the world under the age of 50 and is based on the same metrics as the QS World University Rankings: academic reputation, faculty/student ratio, number of citations per faculty member, employer reputation, international faculty and international student ratios.
