Faculty Career Day
Paid internships, trainings and vacancies that are easy to combine with studies were offered to bachelors from second to fourth-year and masters by all spokesmen.
Students filled out application forms, offered their CVs, participated in quizzes and prize drawings. Company representatives were talking about new projects, plans for the immediate future, career prospects. Also, company representatives presented products and memorable gifts.
In addition to reviewing poster session materials, students found out a lot during master classes.
Ancor company representative Olga Greger informed students about some specifics of recruitment: she discussed the difference between a researcher and a consultant, reasons why only some could fit for consultant position, spoke on how to measure consultant efficiency and create annual plan, what financial obligations company must perform, what psychological difficulties is consultant faced with and how to overcome it.
Procter &Gamble company agent Anna Cheney spoke on history, goals, policies and values of company, she motivated students to send CV not to anyone else but to them, as they provide ongoing training and work in a variety of areas.
Kristina Bogdasarova, an executive of Key clients support Service in TimePad, highlighted areas of future work in the company, presented internships and trainings in different departments, described essential qualities of successful salesman and explained why TimePad is a highly competitive marketplace.
Alexander Abrosimov, chief of Tools Branch in Leroy Merlin, shared with audience about his career, reasons for choosing Leroy Merlin, objectives of the company development and annually hired number of executives required. Questions such as staff and intern bonus payment, employment benefits, additional learning, improving and enhancement of competencies within the company were raised.
PrEca procurement consulting company agents Zelimkhan Suleymanov and Anatoliy Tsypkaykin outlined the importance of consulting in retail marketing, and suggested to students to try hand at trainings and internships.
Interactive master class “Cloud computing in modern business” from KIT-consulting was taught by Yekaterina Lesovskaya, Senior Analyst Adviser of business applications implementation and Faculty graduate along with Yiliya Pleshakova, HR-manager.
Daniil Khanin, an Internet entrepreneur, has taught master class ‘Entrepreneurship comes from taking action, or why do all care about entrepreneurial skills?’. Spokesman described process of creating startup, discussed working structures and entrepreneur’s must-behave patterns.
Maxim Maslov, Faculty graduate, has presented Belgian startup Agilians, which goal is to create business platform capable of work optimization, as well as completed task and staff control.
An international company Exante spoke on recruiting developers in algorithmic trading project: the importance of skills in this area was highlighted for those who are planning to work in finance industry.
Faculty of Business and Management is grateful to all companies who were involved in Career Day.
