HSE Graduate School of Business Director Valery Katkalo participates in the Human Centricity Awards 2025 ceremony

He presented awards to the winners in the category “Development, Adaptation, Training, and Retraining of Personnel” — one of the award’s key categories, which recognizes initiatives aimed at unlocking employee potential, establishing a systematic approach to training, and shaping internal career trajectories.

The Human Centricity Awards annually identify and celebrate the best Russian practices in human-centric management. The award covers a wide range of topics — from effective hiring and engagement to the development of internal communities and the implementation of digital HR tools. This year, 74 projects took part in the RBC Human Centricity Management research, 37 of which made it to the shortlist. The winners included 19 organizations implementing the most promising and sustainable approaches to working with people.

According to Valery Katkalo, having a well-designed system for staff training and development is now becoming a strategic priority for any company focused on long-term growth.

Director, HSE Graduate School of Business

“Business flexibility and resilience today are largely defined by the importance leadership places on human capital development. In companies oriented toward long-term success, conditions are created for the continuous growth of employees — not only in terms of individual skills, but through the creation of a comprehensive system of lifelong learning.”

The HSE Graduate School of Business is also committed to the strategy of lifelong learning and is developing a sustainable professional development system for its own team, in which every employee and faculty member has the opportunity for growth, experience sharing, and implementing their own initiatives.

In 2024–2025 alone, more than 200 faculty members of HSE Graduate School of Business completed advanced training programs focused on the practical aspects of teaching — from the use of the case method and organization of project-based learning to the integration of digital tools, including artificial intelligence technologies.
