The fifth cohort of the Case Method Program launched at HSE Graduate School of Business
This professional development program (in Russian) is an educational initiative entirely focused on the case method and is based on the advanced expertise of HSE GSB — a leading Russian business school. Case studies are integrated across all levels of education at HSE GSB, from bachelor’s to MBA programs.
Since its launch, more than 140 participants — faculty members and staff of universities and business schools, as well as corporate universities of leading Russian companies — have successfully completed the program. Participants mastered all stages of creating a teaching case: from idea generation and data collection to writing and formatting. They also learned how to apply the case method effectively in the educational process.
The first day of training included a panel discussion with business representatives on the topic: “The Teaching Case as a Tool for Solving Business Challenges.”
The expert discussion was moderated by Valery Katkalo, Director of the HSE Graduate School of Business.
The value of cases and their potential for employee development was discussed by:
-
Anastasia Zenkova, HR and Organizational Development Director at Perekrestok retail chain,
-
Anastasia Kornilova, Director of Research Solutions Department at ORO,
-
Alexey Shlykov, Head of Internal Projects Group at PSB,
-
Vera Rebyazina, Head of the Marketing Department at HSE GSB.

“The case method creates a platform for collaboration between business and education, engaging industry leaders in the learning process. A teaching case allows for real business situations to be embedded into the curriculum at all levels. The professional retraining program on the case method enables participants to master the techniques for developing successful cases, while also strengthening their creative thinking and information structuring skills.”
The organizers expect all participants to successfully complete the program and to present the cases they develop as a result of their training.
