GSB powerlifting team wins gold at HSE University Spartakiad

The GSB team was represented by:

  • Arto Saaryan, 2nd-year student of the Supply Chain Management and Business Analytics program
  • Roman Sosnovskiy, 1st-year student of the Marketing: Digital Technologies and Marketing Communications program
  • Denis Zhdanov, 2nd-year student of the Business Administration program
  • Artur Maryanyan, 3rd-year student of the Business Administration program
  • Yaroslav Makarov, 2nd-year student of the Digital Innovations in Enterprise Management program

In the weeks leading up to the tournament, the entire team followed a unified training plan focused on building endurance and refining technique. They trained with 10-kilogram weights, allowing for a high number of repetitions, and paid close attention to balanced nutrition and proper recovery. The athletes understood that endurance was the key to success, and this systematic approach gave the GSB team confidence and contributed to their excellent performance.

The team’s victory was the result not only of intense preparation but also of strong team spirit. In addition to securing first place, the athletes broke the previous record for the combined coefficient total.

The Spartakiad itself took place in a supportive and friendly atmosphere. Athletes from various faculties cheered each other on throughout the event. Organizers ensured a smooth rotation between participants, with athletes taking the stage one after another without delays.

We congratulate the GSB team on their well-earned victory and wish them continued success in future competitions!
