HSE GSB professor appointed reviewer for leading management journal "Journal of International Business Studies"

Igor Gurkov, Professor at the Department of Strategic and International Management at the HSE Graduate School of Business and Tenured Professor at HSE University, has been appointed as a reviewer for one of the world’s leading academic journals in the field of management — Journal of International Business Studies (JIBS). The journal is the official publication of the Academy of International Business (AIB) and is included in the prestigious FT50 list, which features the top 50 journals in business research globally.

JIBS publishes research focused on international business and its many dimensions, including international strategy, global markets, international relations, and transnational corporations. The journal covers a broad spectrum of topics, such as globalization, management under uncertainty, and emerging theories and approaches to conducting business internationally.

As a reviewer, Igor Gurkov will evaluate academic manuscripts and assist the editorial board in determining whether submissions meet the journal’s high academic standards. Reviewers play a crucial role in maintaining the quality of publications by offering expert insights and recommendations on methodology, theoretical grounding, and the relevance of submitted research.
