HSE GSB faculty member Natalia Alyamovskaya wins Alfa-Bank Teaching Grant
The grant is aimed at supporting educators who create innovation and improve education. Participants are evaluated across a range of criteria, including teaching and academic achievements, as well as recommendations from students and colleagues.
Natalia is an HSE University alumna, and her success is the result of systematic work across all areas assessed in the selection process. Over 9 years at HSE University, she has demonstrated a consistently high level of teaching, confirmed by student evaluations. Natalia has won the HSE “Best Teacher” award 5 times and HSE Educational Innovation Fund competitions 6 times.
Natalia is actively involved in the research activities of the HSE Graduate School of Business: this year, together with colleagues, she published research findings in one of the leading international journals in supply chain and operations management — International Journal of Production Research (included in HSE’s List A). The article was written as part of a research project analyzing the use of artificial intelligence to ensure sustainability in supply chains.
Senior Lecturer, Deputy Head of the Department of Operations Management and Logistics, HSE Graduate School of Business
I believe that such initiatives from businesses collaborating with universities highlight the role of business education not only for the academic sphere but also for the commercial environment. HSE University and GSB offer extensive opportunities to develop teaching, methodological, and research skills, and external recognition of the correctness of this development path is important to me as an educator.
The program “Alfa-Future. Grants for Teachers” is aimed at supporting academic staff across Russia. More than 300 universities took part in the competition this year, and 370 teachers were selected as winners.
We congratulate Natalia on her well-deserved success and wish her new achievements in both research and teaching!
