During the 2024–2025 academic year, GSB students took part in more than 50 professional competitions, including regional and national case championships, hackathons, forums, and other intellectual contests in entrepreneurship, consulting, banking, IT, and other areas of professional development.

In addition, the Graduate School of Business was proudly represented in both individual and team events at over 20 athletic competitions, ranging from local interfaculty and intercampus HSE University tournaments to global-scale events. Notably, the GSB teams achieved outstanding results in the 2024–2025 HSE University Interfaculty Spartakiad, where the Graduate School of Business secured first place in the overall standings. A full list of achievements and the names of the outstanding students can be found via the provided link.

To celebrate student accomplishments and highlight the importance of professional and athletic development beyond academics, the HSE GSB Student Affairs Office held the first award ceremony honoring student competition winners. During the ceremony, students met with Valery Katkalo, Director of the HSE Graduate School of Business, and Alexander Gabrielyan, Deputy Director, who warmly welcomed and congratulated the students. Alexander Gabrielyan emphasized that the event was not just about handing out awards but symbolized the school’s educational philosophy: to nurture not only strong professionals but also well-rounded individuals. According to him, the students’ success in case championships and sports competitions confirms that the Graduate School of Business is shaping leaders who can achieve victory in any context.

In recognition of their outstanding achievements, students received commemorative merchandise gifts from the HSE Graduate School of Business, specially designed for the event.
