In the Times Higher Education 2022 study rankings the university is ranked number one in Germany and 42nd in the world in economics, business administration and social sciences.

The university is ranked 54th in the world in QS World University Ranking 2022 Ranking by Subject in Business and Management.

Mannheim Business School has a prestigious triple accreditation (AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA) and is the best business school in Germany.

The University of Mannheim is a medium sized institution with a maximum capacity of 13,000 students.

The university is known as the "German Harvard" for its high standard of teaching, annual awards and nominations in world educational rankings. Graduates of the University of Mannheim are known for their achievements in business, politics, economics and academia.
