Algorithm for preparing a Preliminary Study Plan

Step 1.
Open your programme curriculum (see links to course curricula at the bottom of this page)

Step 2.
Select the year of enrolment at HSE University and open the course curriculum for the time period when you plan to be on exchange.

Step 3.
Write down ALL courses that you are going to study during your intended exchange semester in the

Step 4.
Select the partner university in the catalogue you are interested in and open the list of courses offered there.

Step 5.
In the catalogue, find the courses that match the HSE curriculum in at least one of the parameters:
- title
- content (>75% match)
- learning outcomes (>75% match)

Step 6.
Next to the selected course indicate the credits (ECTS) for it. The number of ECTS credits (or converted into ECTS) must match or exceed the credits for the HSE course. A course with fewer credits will not be approved.

Step 7.
Include in the table a link to the partner university's course description.

Step 8.
If the university does not have some courses that match the HSE syllabus, find the corresponding courses on Coursera and put them into the table at the rate of 10 hours per 1 ECTS.

Step 9.
Email the documents to the study office for approval*.
*At application stage you need to send your preliminary study plan to your study office for approval only if the university you have chosen is not recommended to your programme in the matrix.
