Mandatory Vaccination against COVID-19 for HSE University Staff

According to the Rector’s order all HSE University staff who work full-time, as well as independent contractors who work on the university's territory, must get vaccinated against coronavirus infection. An exception is made only for employees who have a medical exemption. Check up the FAQ Section for further general information.

HSE University recognizes all the vaccines irrespective of their origin (Russian and non-Russian). An employee must have a vaccination certificate (with a doctor’s signature and stamp, the name of the vaccine, its date) + its translation if the initial certificate is not issued in Russian.

Where can I get a free shot?

At the moment, International Staff and Students Can Get COVID Shots at a Clinic in Mayakovskaya. HSE University has signed an agreement with Moscow City Clinic #3, allowing international faculty to get free COVID shots starting January 10, 2022 according to the opening hours of the clinic. The clinic is located at 22/26 Ermolayevsky pereulok (metro station Mayakovskaya). Only one shot of Sputnik Light is availble.

Requried documents:

  1. Copy of your passport and a translation into Russian;
  2. Registration slip;
  3. SNILS number (Russian social security identification number).
  4. Copy of your HSE University ID card.

Vaccination at a commercial medical center in Moscow.

Foreign nationals who do not have Russian compulsory health insurance can get vaccinated on a commercial basis. Please find the list of medical facilities that specifically work with foreign nationals: in English (the procedure costs 1 300 rubles, payment by card only). The clinic will provide you with a hard copy certificate once you undergo the procedure. The link to an active QR-code will be sent to you via email or text message within 1 to 21 calendar day after the vaccination. If you cannot get your QR-code, please contact the medical facility where you were vaccinated.

PCR-test at HSE University in Moscow

You have an opportunity to take a free PCR-test at one of HSE buildings in Moscow. Follow the link to check the actual timetable: https://benefits.hse.ru/covid_test If you wish to be tested, please make an appointment through HSE SmartPoint. Registration for testing is carried out until 16:00 on the day preceding the day of testing. In 2-3 business days, you will get the results and a QR-code being valid for 48 hours since the time of issuance.
