Educational programme components

A teacher's workload is not only shaped by the teaching of disciplines. Key components of the educational programme in which a teacher is involved are:

  • Classroom workload in disciplines and research seminars (NIS)-the standard of classroom workload in GSB is related to its chosen track and publication activity. The exact planned values of the class workload are set by the Dean. Classroom load includes lectures, seminars, workshops and NIS;
  • Extra-curricular workload in disciplines and NIS - involves reviewing homework, tests and examinations, essays, abstracts, etc., including the use of electronic tools;
  • Coursework - implemented by students of a particular year of study. At undergraduate level, coursework is usually implemented in the format of coursework projects - group work on solving real customer-business problems (more information can be found on the Centre for Project-based Learning page)
  • Graduate qualification works - implemented in the format of a bachelor or master's thesis;
  • Internships - carried out in undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
