A master's student from China (International Management program) was named one of the winners of the "Start Your Business with Moscow" competition.
On June 3, the final project presentations of the Entrepreneurship School for International Students — "Start Your Business with Moscow!" — took place at the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The final round featured 22 students from 18 countries and 13 universities across Moscow. One of the winners was Wang Yue, a student from China enrolled in the International Management master’s program at HSE University’s Graduate Business School. Her project, "Market Entry Strategy for a Russian Perfume Brand in China," was not only highly praised by the jury but also recognized as fully feasible.
The project stood out for two key reasons. First, it was based on a real business case involving the Russian perfume brand Ptrchr, founded by Timofey Fedosov, a startup entrepreneur and Wang Yue’s classmate in the International Management program. Second, the project benefited from the support and expertise of fellow students and faculty, who served as consultants as part of the Business Internationalization course project dedicated to expanding the Ptrchr brand globally.

"At first, I doubted whether the idea was realistic — the brand’s founder might not agree with it, or my proposal might not meet the jury's expectations. But my biggest concern was that the idea would simply be unworkable in real life," Wang Yue shared. "Fortunately, during the final presentation, both mentors and judges agreed that the strategy could be implemented. That was a huge honor for me! The final result is not just my personal achievement. The project came to life thanks to the professional support of my classmates, the continuous guidance from our professors, and the organizers of the Entrepreneurship School 'Start Your Business with Moscow.' That’s why I want to say a sincere ‘thank you’ to all of you!"
The Entrepreneurship School for International Students of Moscow Universities — "Start Your Business with Moscow" — is implemented with support from the Mayor of Moscow's Grant Program under the “Youth of Moscow” category.
