Schubert Maignan, co-founder of X3R Propulsion - company that converts gas cars into electric, more sustainable ones, gave a guest lecture on the topic of “International business: practical application”.
On November 28 HSE Graduate School of Business welcomed Schubert Maignan, who discussed international business in a bigger context and shared the insights of his rich professional experience in entrepreneurship.
Schubert Maignan, professional with more than 12 years of experience, international affairs expert and an eloquent speaker. Being originally from Canada and owning the business in that country, Schubert shared the peculiarities of doing business in this country. During the speech he introduced the students to the concept of co-operative and discussed it through the perspective of Canadian business. Schubert also emphasized the essence of small and medium sized enterprises to Canada's prosperity.
Throughout the entire lecture, Mr. Magnan was sharing practical information and real life cases to illustrate the business environment in Canada. Furthermore, he delved into the topic of funding start ups or businesses for those who just arrived in the country. He elaborated on such funding opportunities as borrowing money, searching for investors, applying to governmental programs and getting provincial support.
