The first meeting took place on May 21 and Elena Baryshnikova, Project Director of Sberbank Insurance, LLC, acted as a speaker at the master class.
The topic of the master class was the practice of settling losses by an insurance company and the possibility of using artificial intelligence in insurance. Elena told the students not only about the process of claiming damages for compensation, but also introduced them to the specifics of the interaction of various services of the insurance company during the settlement of losses of policyholders, the intricacies of documenting insurance cases. They also discussed the possibilities of using artificial intelligence technologies in the analysis of the insurance market, the development of new insurance products, as well as forecasting insurance payments.
During the second meeting, which took place on May 28, Anton Kovalenko, Head of the Analytics and Modeling Department of JSC Russian National Reinsurance Company, addressed the students and introduced them to the practice of calculating insurance tariffs and the cost of insurance services.
The students learned about the role of such an important participant in the insurance market as a reinsurance company, and learned about various alternative approaches to calculating the amount of an entrepreneur's insurance risk. During the interactive game, students under the guidance of Anton were able to practice calculating the effectiveness of insurance services in relation to various categories of policyholders.
During each master class, students asked the speakers questions about the practice of resolving various complex issues by insurance companies, and received comprehensive expert comments.
