GSB International Students Explore Moscow-City
On November 10, the GSB International Office organized for international students a breathtaking tour of the 89th-floor observation deck in Moscow City’s Federation Tower, Europe’s tallest viewing point. This experience offered students a unique perspective on Moscow-City, Moscow’s renowned financial district, combining panoramic views, cultural insights, and architectural exploration.
The tour, designed specifically for GSB's diverse international community, was conducted in English and provided an immersive mix of education, culture, and entertainment. From the moment they entered the high-speed elevator, the 18 participants from countries including Bangladesh, Pakistan, Thailand, China, Lebanon, Belarus, India, and Ghana began an unforgettable journey into Moscow’s blend of history and modernity.
Once at the top, students marveled at Moscow’s skyline—a striking mix of historic and contemporary architecture. Led by an expert guide, the group took a guided tour through the Panorama-360 observation area, learning about the vision behind Moscow’s urban evolution. Stories of historic landmarks and the rise of new skyscrapers enriched their understanding of the city’s unique character and strategic development.
The experience concluded with a treat from Chistaya Liniya, the world’s highest ice cream and chocolate factory, located right within Moscow-City.
More than just a tour, this event offered GSB international students a meaningful connection to Moscow’s heritage and its forward-looking aspirations. The experience fostered a deeper appreciation for the city’s global role in business and architecture, emphasizing the transformative power of culture and innovation. Students left with lasting memories, new insights, and a profound sense of Moscow’s vibrant intersection of past and future.
