GSB Launches New Buddy Program to Help International First-Year Students Adapt

The Graduate School of Business has launched a new project aimed at supporting international first-year students as they transition into life in Moscow and adjust to the study process at GSB.

GSB Launches New Buddy Program to Help International First-Year Students Adapt

Who is a Buddy?

Buddies are current GSB students who volunteer to assist international incoming students, helping them navigate their new cultural and social environment. Their goal is to make students feel comfortable and confident in Moscow.

What Can a Buddy Help With?

  • Meeting you at the Aeroexpress terminal (not at the airport);

  • Assisting with dormitory check-in and escorting you to your accommodation;

  • Providing essential information on campus, useful apps, and emergency contacts;

  • Helping with documents and forms in Russian;

  • Recommending places and events in the city;

  • Directing you to the right person for university-related inquiries.

What a Buddy Can’t Do:

  • Assist during night hours (9 PM to 8 AM);

  • Act as a full-time personal assistant;

  • Provide financial support.

If you’re an international student and need a buddy, fill in the form to request assistance.
