Moscow welcomes participants of the Digital Product Management Summer School

The Digital Product Management Summer School, a joint initiative of HSE Graduate School of Business and Alfa-Bank, has officially welcomed its 2025 cohort to Moscow. Thirty-one motivated students — many from leading Chinese universities — are beginning their academic and cultural journey in Russia. Before diving into lectures, the group explored Moscow’s iconic sights and enjoyed their first impressions of the city. The program promises a rich combination of academic excellence and cultural immersion.

Moscow welcomes participants of the Digital Product Management Summer School

On August 2, the participants of the HSE Graduate School of Business x Alfa-Bank Summer University arrived in Moscow. The group consists of 31 students, many of whom represent HSE’s partner universities in China, including Fudan University, Renmin University of China, Tongji University, and Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University. All participants successfully passed a competitive selection process and demonstrated strong motivation to deepen their knowledge in Digital Product Management.

The academic program is set to begin on August 4, but for now, students are immersing themselves in the vibrant atmosphere of Moscow. For most of them, this is their first time visiting Russia.

On their first evening, the group had a chance to try local cuisine, enjoy the sunset, and witness a nighttime bike parade in Gorky Park. The cultural program continued on August 3 with a sightseeing bus tour around the city, followed by a short walking tour through central Moscow. Participants visited some of the capital’s most iconic landmarks, including Moscow State University and Vorobyovy Gory, Moscow City, the Seven Sisters skyscrapers, Alexander Garden, and of course, Red Square.

The students were eager to learn about Moscow’s history and asked many questions about daily life in the city. Their curiosity and enthusiasm were clear, and many expressed a desire to continue exploring Moscow on their own.

It seems that their first ‘date’ with the city made a lasting impression and set the tone for the week ahead. Their academic journey officially begins on Monday with a series of lectures delivered by leading professors of HSE GSB.
