ESCP Business School

ESCP Business School is the oldest business school in the world. It has campuses in Paris, London, Berlin, Madrid and Turin.

What is important to know?

Programme duration: GSB master's students go to ESCP Business School on their second year. Studying at ESCP Business School lasts from September 14 to April 30.

Educational programme: GSB students enrol in ESCP 'Master in Management' programme. GSB students must complete a number of compulsory and elective courses to receive an ESCP diploma. Partial transfer of credits at ESCP can be made based on Transcript of Records after completion of the first year of the HSE master's programme.

Prerequisites: applying to ESCP GSB students submit their Bachelor's transcript of records, in which the following courses have to be listed:

  • Financial Accounting;
  • Corporate Law;
  • Costing and Decision Making;
  • Economics;
  • Fundamentals of Finance;
  • Information Tools and Skills for Business;
  • Principles of Marketing;
  • Psychology and Management;
  • Quantitative Methods

If during your Bachelor studies you did not have such courses, you will be offered to take them at ESCP during summer between 1 and 2 year of Master studies for a fee.

Internship: Students must complete an internship for a minimum of 36 weeks to receive an ESCP diploma. Internships may take place in Russia or France. All previously completed internships and work experience can be counted towards the required 36 weeks.

Master's Thesis: Students may prepare and defend one or two master's theses. If a thesis is defended at HSE University: ESCP does not require the preparation and defense of a second thesis. If the thesis is defended at ESCP: students must prepare and defend a second thesis at HSE University.

Administrative Fees: Students enrol in the ESCP's two-year MIM programme and are required to pay administrative fees of €850 and €890 per each year, respectively (subject to changes by the partner university).

Tuition fees: The tuition fees for GSB students are equal to those for EU students = 19 000 euros. GSB students receive a tuition fee discount of ~4000 euros. Tuition fees may be waived for 3 GSB students.

Scholarships: Eiffel Scholarship, the French Government Scholarships

How to apply?

1. Prepare a package of documents

  • Request for DD Programme has to be signed by the student and administration of the educational programme.
  • Certified translation of the undergraduate diploma of previous education or the European Diploma Supplement.
  • Letter of motivation in English (approx. 500 words)
  • CV in English
  • English proof of proficiency
  • Reference from the place of internship or work
  • Confirmation of international experience (if any)
  • Recommendation letter from the place of study
  • Recommendation letter from the place of work (if available)
  • Evidence of extracurricular activities (case championships, hacathons, volunteering, etc.).

2. Apply

In the period from September 6 to September 24, fill in the online application here and attach the package of documents.

3. Wait for the decision of the GSB committee.

Selection Criteria for extracurricular activities are the same as for the scholarship (please mind, however, that we do not offer GSB scholarships for the Double Degree Programmes. 

4. Interview

After reviewing the applications, ESCP Business School represntatives set a date for the interview.

4. Wait for Results

The selection results are announced to the candidates after the interview.
