This time HSE GSB is hosting the guest lecture of its distinguished alumna, Marianna Simonyan, country manager for Tech & Startups at Seed Group with great business development aspirations.

On 21 November, Marianna is going to discuss the key factors driving the success of Dubai development. From a rich heritage to visionary leadership, this lecture will delve into the unique blend of innovation, strategic planning, and diversification that has propelled the UAE's economy to new heights. Marianna Simonyan will explore the dynamic economic landscape of Dubai, shedding light on the factors that have contributed to its phenomenal growth and the future strategies that will continue shaping its success.

Marianna Simonyan acts as a springboard for new as well as established businesses and start-ups willing to expand their footprint in the Middle East. Marianna aims to elevate the Dubai Industrial Strategy 2030 to make Dubai a global platform for knowledge-based, sustainable and innovation-focused businesses.

With more than 11 years of experience as a startup entrepreneur, Marianna is passionate about mentoring and teaching students on how to create their own startups and scale them globally.

Some of the other Marianna’s achievements:

- Founder and CEO of VARD.tech — collaborative analytics platform
- Founder of Wonder Women — community that supports women in tech and female leadership
- Chapter president of Society for Orphaned Armenian Relief (SOAR) — charity that helps orphaned children in Armenia

We can’t wait to see Marianna back on campus and learn more about her experience. We do hope that Marianna is a truly inspirational graduate that might be the role model for our students.
