University of Putra Malaysia
University of Putra Malaysia is one of Malaysia’s leading public universities, ranked among the country’s top institutions.
It is located in the city of Serdang, between Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya. The university has approximately 17,000 students, half of whom are international. The teaching staff includes over 2,000 members, 19% of whom are representatives of 72 countries. UPM offers undergraduate and graduate programs. Instruction is conducted in English and Malay. Among the university’s prestigious partners are Cornell University, the University of California, and the Sorbonne.
The university comprises 2 schools and 15 faculties, including the School of Business and Economics (SBE). SBE holds international AACSB accreditation and was the first business school in Malaysia to receive this recognition.

Visa: Students must apply for a Visa Approval Letter, VAL to enter Malaysia for study purposes. This should be done at least 2 months before arrival. Approval takes between 3 to 6 weeks.
Applications can be submitted through the Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS) portal: https://visa.educationmalaysia.gov.my/
After receiving VAL approval, students must apply for a Single Entry Visa (SEV) at the Embassy of Malaysia in Moscow.
The following documents are required for submission:

Invitation letter from UPM;

Photo (3.5 cm x 4.5 cm, white background only);

Passport scan (valid for at least 18 months from the date of application);

Scans of diplomas (Bachelor’s/Master’s/Doctoral) or a proof of the student status from the university;

Grade transcripts for all previous semesters;

!!! Important: Do not purchase flight tickets until you receive both the VAL and SEV.
Accommodation: UPM offers paid on-campus housing for students participating in academic mobility programs. However, availability is very limited, so it is recommended to apply as early as possible.
