Business Informatics

The Business Informatics Bachelor’s programme is aimed at training professionals in the development and use of information systems and technologies in business. It educates students in the fields of informatics, economics and management. Graduates will be employable in sectors of IT where demand for specialists is at its highest: system architects, system integrators, business analysts, IT managers, IT consultants, IT project managers, sales and service specialists and business development specialists. Over the course of the programme, students can undertake internships at leading Russian and foreign companies, as well as participate in academic exchange programmes with European partner universities and obtain a CEA™ certification (Certified e-Marketing Analyst).

Marketing and Market Analytics

The programme trains a new generation of highly qualified specialists in the field of management, marketing and market analytics. Today, marketing is fundamentally different from what it was ten years ago. With the rapid development of Internet technologies, social networks, mobile applications and new digital channels of communication with consumers have emerged. This Bachelor’s programme focuses on enhancing students’ analytical skills to enable them to make marketing decisions using statistical data and analytics. The curriculum addresses the challenges surrounding marketing decision-making and the role of marketing as part of a company’s strategy, with a focus on marketing analytics and digital marketing. The programme meets the needs of specialists on both the Russian and international job markets.

Business Administration

This programme trains students in professional activities in the field of business management: project specialists, HR management, strategic development, customer service and marketing and company management. It also builds students’ skills in business project design and development. This Bachelor’s programme has been designed according to international standards in BBA programmes (Bachelor of Business Administration) and the curriculum reflects the Faculty’s extensive international experience in this field.

Supply Chain Management and Business Analytics

The HSE’s School of Logistics is recognized in Russia and abroad and it has designed an integrated educational and training programme of the highest quality. Students will graduate with the knowledge and skills necessary to manage the process of delivery of goods and services from the producer to the end user. They will learn how to plan and control flows and resources in complex business infrastructures and network systems (supply chains).

Digital Product Management

The aim of the programme is to train highly qualified specialists, who possess extensive knowledge and practical skills in digital technologies management with a view to development and encouraging innovation in business. Graduates receive two diplomas – a Bachelor of Science in Business Informatics from Higher School of Economics (HSE) and a Bachelor of Science in Management and Digital Innovation from the University of London (UoL). This combination of fundamental disciplines in business informatics and specialized courses on management and digital innovation makes this programme one of a kind on the Russian market.

ADMISSION IN 2024

What's new?

In 2024 the Graduate School of Business will open its doors to applicants for six bachelor's programmes. The composition of entrance exams remains the same, but the minimum scores have been raised. The number of places has also changed. 

The conditions for submitting documents to the Moscow campus of the Higher School of Economics remain the same – applicants to the bachelor's programs can choose three fields of Study and an unlimited number of programs in each field of Study. 

In 2024, the general principles of taking into account individual achievements, which were in effect this year, will be retained. Bachelor's applicants will also be able to earn additional points for winning and prize places in olympiads and competitions, for sports achievements, and volunteer activities. 

We would like to remind you that the entrance exams include the results of the SATs (for applicants applying through the general competition) or internal exams at HSE (for foreign students, individuals with disabilities, and graduates of secondary vocational education). 

As a foreign language, we accept the results of the SATs in the following languages: English, French, German, Spanish. And, of course, a profiled math exam is required for all of our programs.

What programmes, subjects and scores are available?

In 2024, the Graduate School of Business offers four programmes in «Management» and two programmes in «Business Informatics». 

HSE also provides places at its own expense for participants in the «Social Lift» project. This program is aimed at supporting bachelor's applicants who, due to life circumstances, are unable to compete on an equal footing with the majority of applicants for budget  places and cannot afford to pay for their education.

For the paid form of education at the Graduate School, there is an opportunity to receive discounts of up to 70%. Bachelor's applicants can obtain them based on the results of the SATs or other criteria.
