Competition to Support Short-Term Visits by Foreign Specialists

Short-term visits by foreign specialists are visits of limited duration (up to 6 months) aimed at delivering lectures to students as part of the educational process and/or conducting research.

Application procedure for short-term visits by foreign specialists

  1. The budget may include only remuneration, travel, and accommodation expenses.
Visa fees, invitation processing fees, and similar expenses are not covered.
If the specialist receives remuneration, a work visa is required. In addition, personal income tax at a rate of 30% and social insurance contributions at a rate of 30.2% apply.
  2. Applications requesting more than RUB 150,000 may also be considered by the university-wide committee, provided that co-funding amounts to at least 30% of the total requested budget (from a faculty, department, grant, or other sources).

The direct organization of visits by foreign specialists – including contractual and legal arrangements related to the preparation, coordination, and conclusion of agreements with a tour operator, the issuance of official orders, and related matters – is the responsibility of the host unit / specialist / department of the Graduate School of Business.

The Internationalization Office holds monthly meetings for coordinators to discuss organizational matters.
