Competition to Support Short-Term Visits by Foreign Specialists
Short-term visits by foreign specialists are visits of limited duration (up to 6 months) aimed at delivering lectures to students as part of the educational process and/or conducting research.
Application procedure for short-term visits by foreign specialists
- The budget may include only remuneration, travel, and accommodation expenses.
Visa fees, invitation processing fees, and similar expenses are not covered.
If the specialist receives remuneration, a work visa is required. In addition, personal income tax at a rate of 30% and social insurance contributions at a rate of 30.2% apply. - Applications requesting more than RUB 150,000 may also be considered by the university-wide committee, provided that co-funding amounts to at least 30% of the total requested budget (from a faculty, department, grant, or other sources).
The direct organization of visits by foreign specialists – including contractual and legal arrangements related to the preparation, coordination, and conclusion of agreements with a tour operator, the issuance of official orders, and related matters – is the responsibility of the host unit / specialist / department of the Graduate School of Business.
The Internationalization Office holds monthly meetings for coordinators to discuss organizational matters.
How to apply
- Fill out the application form and have it signed by the head of your unit.
- Obtain the invited specialist’s consent to the terms of the visit to the Graduate School of Business (a scanned copy is acceptable), as well as the specialist’s CV.
- Submit the application and the required set of documents to the Executive Secretary.
