Students project “HSE Business Negotiation Club” organized by the GSB students has presented their first results
In 2020 the GSB Education Initiatives Commission supported the HSE Business Negotiations Club project initiated by the GSB students within the Student Groups Project Contest. And at the beginning of 2021, the project team summed up the results of the project.
The goal of the HSE Business Negotiation Club was to provide students with an opportunity to get acquainted with various aspects of effective negotiations and develop soft skills: professional argumentation, self-presentation, etc.
The project team included the 2nd-year student of the Marketing Programme: Teslenko Nikita (project leader), Veronika Ozhogina, Suzanna Aguzumtsyan. The ideological inspirer of the project is Tatyana Vetrova, PhD, associate professor at HSE, Programme Academic Supervisor of the Marketing, Marketing: Digital Technology and Marketing Communications.
The Graduate School of Business provided consulting and financial support for this project.
Within the framework of the HSE Business Negotiation Club, a number of regular offline and online meetings were organized, in which students from the Higher School of Business, HSE faculties, as well as students of other universities took part. Students were able not only to gain theoretical knowledge in the field of business negotiations, but also to apply them in practical classes in teams. Online meetings were broadcasted via the Zoom Platform, on the basis of the GSB studio with the support of the GSB Center for Digital Educational Technologies.
Certified negotiation expert Stanislav Martynov (business coach, founder and owner of BROCA & WERNICKE) has become the permanent host of the HSE Business Negotiation Club. Also special guests were invited to participate in Club’s meetings: Olga Muratova (business coach, head of the department of education at AstraZeneca), Dmitry Belkin (business partner of the Business Intelligence Center, Alfa-Bank), Evgenia Heinman (task leader for internal communications and employer brand development, Accenture in Russia and Kazakhstan).
As a result of the project, the most active participants received certificates, prizes from the eco-partner, “ecolevel” company. And the main prize prepared jointly with the GSB Career Center, an internship at Puma was awarded to Valeria Gladkova, the 2nd-year student of the Economics and Statistics Bachelor’s Programme.
