This department was founded at the Faculty of Management (now the Graduate School of Business) as a joint department with Oracle. This American multination is the second largest software manufacturer in terms of revenue after Microsoft. The company is active in developing partnerships with universities by creating joint departments, which has proven to be a mutually beneficial venture.
Students get to study specialized courses, curated by renowned experts, while also getting to use high-tech equipment. Furthermore, the department employs a very project-based approach to learning. In addition, students can take part in Oracle’s own projects and internships at the company.
Also, Oracle offers career guidance for students and graduates in order to attract young specialists (through presentations, events, company visits, etc.). Close interaction with the joint department can give students a great opportunity to hone their skills and talents , as well as a chance for securing a job in a global software leader after graduation.
In 2020/2021 academic year, the department is offering the course ‘Digital Transformation’ for Bachelor’s and Master’s students in management, as well as a series of master classes for Master’s students in HR Analytics.
