Spring Career Week held at the Shabolovka campus

From April 17 to 21, the Career Center hosted the Spring Career Week at the Graduate School of Business — a key career event that raises students’ awareness of the job market and directly influences their career choices. The employer booth session, held on April 18 at the Shabolovka campus, was a major success — and remains the most effective format for employment support.

Representatives of 12 leading companies — including top players in consulting, e-commerce, IT, logistics, and telecommunications — helped GSB students navigate the job market, learn about internships, and find potential jobs. These one-on-one conversations allowed students not only to make a strong impression and gain a competitive edge in the hiring process, but in many cases served as an informal first interview with a company. In just one day, participants had a unique opportunity to attend mini-interviews with several promising employers.

In addition, staff from the Career Center and experts from ECOPSY Consulting — a company specializing in HR consulting — offered a “Résumé Roast” session. This activity was highly relevant for anyone ready to craft an outstanding résumé and take the first step toward building a successful career.

GSB Director Valery Katkalo noted the students’ motivation and the high level of professionalism in organizing the event.

Throughout the week, business professionals from participating companies delivered themed guest lectures. These sessions offered insights into the latest business trends and real-world project experiences in fields such as cybersecurity, marketing, supply chain transformation, and digitalization of technological processes. GSB alumni also shared their success stories — from building international careers to turning a small women-led initiative into a multimillion-dollar business. Over 500 subscribers followed the dedicated Telegram channel created for the event, each finding topics of personal interest. Students from HSE campuses in Nizhny Novgorod and St. Petersburg also joined the events, having been informed of the program in advance.

In response to student feedback, the Career Center organized a special “Employment Tools & Life Hacks Day”, where students learned about modern hiring processes, employment documentation, and the psychological aspects of job searching.

A total of 16 GSB partner companies — including Sber, Avito, MTS, First Freight Company, LAB Industries, SBS Consulting, Kept, B1, Axenix, BearingPoint, KROK, 1C, Vseinstrumenty, Business Solutions & Technologies, TEDO (Trusted Technologies) — found future interns and employees, while boosting their employer brand and candidate loyalty.

We sincerely thank our colleagues — the alumni relations team and the student services team — for their collaboration. The Career Center values long-term partnerships and looks forward to continuing to host events that will inspire students to reach new career heights.

See you at the Fall Career Week in October!
