“Stud Business Day” spotlights key trends in business development

“Stud Business Day” spotlights key trends in business development

On November 1, the Career Center and the Student Affairs Office, with the support of the HSE Business Club student organization, held Stud Business Day in the coworking space of the Shabolovka campus. The event was attended or watched online by over 200 students. The event was opened by Margarita Gladkova, Deputy Director of the HSE Graduate School of Business, who emphasized the role of Stud Business Day in developing students’ entrepreneurial potential and expanding their professional network.

This year’s program focused on three of the most in-demand trends in business development, explored through presentations by business experts from various sectors.

1. Digital Transformation of Business

This topic was addressed by Andrey Skorochkin, CEO of Reksoft Consulting, and Roman Maresov, Forbes 30 under 30 winner and CEO of Yandex.Eats. They discussed new operational models in the digital economy and the challenges IT companies face in today’s uncertain environment. They emphasized that companies successfully undergoing digital transformation offer significant career opportunities for young professionals.

2. The ESG Approach as a Key Principle of Effective Business

Asya Pishchikova, Sustainability Manager at Pernod Ricard, along with Anastasia Potapova and Polina Kotlyarenko, Sustainability Managers at VimpelCom, shared their practical experience of promoting care for oneself, colleagues, and the environment. They explained how companies implement zero-waste principles at different business stages. The session was held under the Drink More Water initiative, and the most attentive listeners had a chance to win branded prizes.

3. The Leading Role of Logistics Amid Supply Chain Changes

Speakers Maksim Bukhanov, Deputy Director of Business Development at FESCO Integrated Transport (part of the FESCO Group), and Viktor Kodanev, Director of Education and Consulting at Bidzaar and Professor of Practice at HSE GSB, gave insights into the state of the transportation market and leading procurement practices.

The presentations explored operational models that work under changing conditions, technological trends, challenges and opportunities, transformation approaches, leadership models, and new competencies. A lively discussion with students followed.

Andrey Skorochkin

CEO, Reksoft Consulting

“It was great to see students so genuinely interested in complex topics like new operational models in the digital economy and import substitution. I believe this generation will live in a paradigm of constant pre-adaptation to the changes and challenges of a VUCA world. Thank you to HSE for the opportunity to share Reksoft Consulting’s vision with our future potential employees.”

Maksim Bukhanov

Deputy Director for Business Development, FESCO Integrated Transport

“First, I want to thank the organizers and the Stud Business Day participants for their time, and encourage students to begin pursuing their ambitions today. Now is the time for the ambitious and proactive. Experience and knowledge are gained through practice. Go for it, keep moving forward, and good luck!”

Valeria Korovina

2nd-year student, “Logistics and Supply Chain Management”

“What stood out the most was Roman Maresov’s talk — it had everything: great humor, impressive expertise, amazing storytelling, and a friendly, warm atmosphere. As a result, the audience was completely engaged. Special thanks to the speaker — after the session, Roman stayed behind to talk to students informally and answered everyone’s questions. All day long after the event, students were sending thank-you messages for bringing in such a great speaker and asking for more events like this!”

Dmitry Palchikov

2nd-year student, “Business Administration,” Vice President, HSE Business Club

“Stud Business Day was held at a very high level! We were happy to partner with the Student Affairs Office and the Career Center to organize a truly useful and practice-oriented forum. The chosen tracks and topics resonated with GSB students, and I can confidently say that we achieved our goal! Our team at HSE Business Club looks forward to continued collaboration and supporting future events at the Graduate School of Business.”
